Bovine tuberculosis (bTB) is a chronic infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium bovis. It primarily affects cattle but can also infect other animals, including wildlife and humans. The disease is part of a group of diseases known as zoonotic diseases, which can be transmitted from animals to humans.
