To date, only two diseases have been successfully eradicated:
Smallpox: Eradicated in 1980, this was the first disease to be eradicated through a global vaccination campaign led by the World Health Organization (WHO). Rinderpest: An infectious disease affecting cattle, eradicated in 2011 through coordinated vaccination efforts.
