After an incubation period of about 10-14 days, measles symptoms begin to appear. Initial symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes. These symptoms are followed by the appearance of Koplik's spots inside the mouth, and a few days later, a rash that spreads from the face to the rest of the body. The rash typically lasts about a week.
