- Hydration: To prevent dehydration in cases of gastroenteritis. - Antipyretics and analgesics: To reduce fever and pain. - Oxygen therapy: For severe respiratory infections. - Antibiotics: Only if there is a secondary bacterial infection.
In some severe cases, especially in immunocompromised patients, antiviral medications like cidofovir may be used, although their effectiveness is not well established.
