Culex mosquitoes transmit diseases through their feeding behavior. When a mosquito bites an infected host, it ingests pathogens present in the blood. These pathogens then develop and multiply within the mosquito before being transmitted to a new host during subsequent feeding. This process is known as vector-borne transmission.
